As mothers, we always put everyone else’s needs above our own. We drink our coffee cold, have supervised potty breaks, and constantly rock the mom bun. When we’re not making snacks, we’re picking up toys, or doing laundry. Let’s face it ladies, the days of manicures over lattes are few and far between.
Last week was my girl Kara’s birthday, and as a mother of two boys, I knew she would appreciate some pampering. So instead of spending a fortune at a spa, I put together a fun and inexpensive Spa Gift Basket. Now, she can enjoy pampering herself in the comfort of her own home.
In the basket I included all of her favorite things. White wine, chocolate and everything spa related. Including several face masks, nail polish and homemade bath salts. And what says spa more than a chic and clean looking basket of goodies? To add a little personal touch I added the wine label and made calming bath salts at home.
It was super simple, all I did was mix 1/2 c Epsom salt with 3-4 drops of lavender essential oils, and placed it in cute glass jar. I used lavender oil because after a long day of raising boys, a mama needs to unwind. Now, Kara can relax in her bathtub, sipping a glass of Riesling while dad takes care of the babes!
