I’m sure most of you are aware that I love wine. Any color, shape or form. I love it all. On a hot sunny day I especially love Sangria, wine slushies’, and more Sangria. Let’s be honest, what woman doesn’t love a glass of Sangria with wine soaked fruit?
Throughout my lifetime, I have made many variations of sangria. While some were extremely delicious, some were not. It was a few years ago, when we were stationed in Washington that I finally perfected my Peach Sangria.
It starts with white wine, peach schnapps, and fresh peaches. This is truly a match made in heaven, trust me!
- 2 bottles of white wine (I use Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio)
- 1 c Peach Schnapps
- 3-4 peaches, sliced
- Combine all ingredients in large pitcher
- Store in refrigerator until ready to enjoy
The greatest thing about this recipe, besides the obvious, is how easy it is to make. In fact, it’s so simple you could easily double (or triple) the recipe when entertaining. As with most sangria, you will want to let it sit for a few hours prior to serving. After all, the best part is the boozy fruit. However, if you happen to be short on time and cannot refrigerate before serving, substitute the fresh peaches for frozen.
Cheers! Pin now, enjoy later!
